At Font Finder AI, your privacy is our priority. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are privacy-first: most image and PDF processing happens in your browser when possible.

1. Overview

Font Finder AI (“we”, “us”) operates fontfinderai.com. We provide 12 free font detection tools (image, website, PDF, logo, etc.). This Privacy Policy applies to all pages, tools, and guides on the site.

We minimize data collection. We do not sell your data, we do not build advertising profiles, and we delete uploaded files immediately after analysis unless you explicitly export results.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Content you provide

  • Images, PDFs, font files, text, URLs you upload or paste to use a tool (e.g., Font Finder by Image, Website Font Detector).
  • Contact form data: name, email, subject, message when you contact us at utpalr533@gmail.com or via /contact.

2.2 Automatically collected

  • Analytics (if enabled): pages viewed, referrer, device type, approximate location (country-level) — via privacy-friendly analytics without cross-site tracking.
  • Technical logs: IP address, user agent, and timestamps for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated and not used for profiling.
  • Cookies / local storage: only for theme preference (theme: light/dark in localStorage) and essential functionality. No advertising cookies.

We do not require account creation. We do not collect payment information (the service is free).

3. How We Use Information & Image Processing

  • To provide the tool: analyze character shapes, proportions, and styling to identify fonts and return confidence, license, and alternatives.
  • To improve detection in aggregate (e.g., which fonts are most searched) — never with your original images.
  • To respond to contact requests and support.
  • To secure the service: rate limiting, spam and malware file validation (MIME + magic bytes + blank-image check).

Privacy-first processing: Heavy image/PDF work runs in your browser when possible (processingMode: client). Where hybrid processing is used, the original blob is sent via FormData/base64, not cropped or recompressed for fidelity, and is deleted immediately after the response. We do not train models on your uploads.

4. Legal Bases (EEA/UK - GDPR)

If you are in the EEA/UK, we process data under:

  • Contract: to provide the font detection you requested.
  • Legitimate interest: to secure and improve the service.
  • Consent: where you submit the contact form or allow analytics (you can withdraw anytime).

5. Cookies & Local Storage

We use:

  • Essential: localStorage.theme for light/dark preference.
  • Functional: search history is not stored server-side.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear localStorage or block cookies in your browser; the site will still work (theme will reset).

6. Third-Party Services

  • Fonts: Google Fonts (Inter) loaded via fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com to render the site. Google may log requests per its policy.
  • Hosting/CDN: Astro static site hosted on a CDN; edge logs may contain IP/user-agent for delivery and security.
  • Font providers (when you click Download/Buy): Google Fonts, MyFonts, Adobe Fonts — you leave our site and their policies apply.

We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social trackers, or fingerprinting scripts.

7. Data Retention

  • Uploads: deleted immediately after analysis. No long-term storage of images, PDFs, or extracted font data on our servers for free tools.
  • Contact messages: retained until your request is resolved, then archived or deleted within 12 months unless you ask for earlier deletion.
  • Logs: retained for up to 30 days for security debugging, then deleted or anonymized.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, etc.), you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent
  • Opt out of sale/sharing — we do not sell or share personal information

Do Not Track

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) where applicable and do not use cross-site trackers.

9. Children’s Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us for deletion.

10. International Transfers

We are a globally accessible static site. If you access from outside the hosting region, your data may be processed where our CDN edge is located, with safeguards for GDPR transfers (Standard Contractual Clauses where needed).

11. Security

We validate uploads before detection (MIME + magic bytes + blank-image check), enforce size limits (10MB images, 25MB PDFs), and serve over HTTPS. No system is 100% secure, but we follow industry best practices.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in tools or law. We will post the new version with an updated “Last updated” date and, for material changes, add a notice on the homepage.
