1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Font Finder AI’s website, tools (including Font Finder by Image, Website Font Detector, PDF Font Detector, etc.), guides, and free-fonts directory (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you confirm you are at least 13 years old and can form a binding contract.
2. Service Description
We provide AI-assisted font identification from images, PDFs, websites, and text. Results include confidence scores, family/weight/style, license badges (FREE/PAID), and links to providers (Google Fonts, Adobe Fonts, MyFonts). Detection runs client-side where possible (processingMode: client) or hybrid for speed; uploads are validated (MIME + magic bytes + blank-image check) and deleted after analysis.
We do not require registration and do not currently charge fees. We may introduce rate limits to prevent abuse.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload malware, illegal content, or files you do not have rights to share.
- Attempt to bypass validation (e.g., spoofed extensions, ZIP-as-JPG) or size limits (10MB images, 25MB PDFs, 15MB font files).
- Scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond normal browser use; no automated bulk harvesting without permission.
- Use results to facilitate font piracy. Respect license information: FREE (OFL/SIL, Google Fonts) vs PAID (retail, requires purchase).
- Impersonate others or submit false contact information.
We may suspend or block access for violations.
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Our content
The site design, guides, tool UI, and detection logic are owned by Font Finder AI. You may not copy or republish them wholesale. You may link to tools/guides and quote excerpts with attribution.
4.2 Fonts & uploads
Font names, foundries, and license info are property of their owners. You retain rights to your uploads. By uploading, you grant us a limited, revocable license to process the file solely to provide the detection you requested. We claim no ownership over your images.
4.3 Provider links
Links to Google Fonts, MyFonts, Adobe Fonts are for your convenience. Their terms govern downloads/purchases.
5. Font License Disclaimer
Important: We show FREE vs PAID badges and source, but you are responsible for verifying the final license before commercial use. Font licensing can vary by weight, foundry, and usage. When in doubt, buy from the official foundry or use a Google Fonts alternative via our Google Font Finder.
6. Disclaimer & Accuracy
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. Font detection is AI-estimated with calibrated confidence (%). We do not guarantee 100% accuracy, especially for custom lettering, heavily modified logos, low-resolution, or stylized/decorative text. Logos often use customized type — we flag modifications and rank closest retail families.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Font Finder AI and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (currently $0 for free use).
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your uploads, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of font licenses or third-party rights.
9. Privacy
Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We are privacy-first: most heavy processing stays in your browser; uploads are deleted after analysis. See the policy for details on cookies (only theme in localStorage), logs, and your rights (GDPR/CCPA).
10. Third-Party Links
The Service links to Google Fonts, MyFonts, Adobe Fonts, guides, and comparisons. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
11. Changes to Terms & Service
We may update these Terms or modify/discontinue the Service at any time. We will post updates with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or for operational reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts competent for the operator’s principal place of business, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
